Eutelsat Communications has tapped Aymeric Getty as CEO of its AlternaTV Latin American TV-distribution platform. He comes from Eutelsat in Paris, where he was VP, sales for France and French-speaking markets.
HARMONIC
Bart Spriester has been named senior vice president, video products at San Jose, Calif.- based video delivery infrastructure provider Harmonic. He comes from Encompass Digital Media, where he was executive VP and GM, North America, and CTO.

Simulmedia, a targeted advertising firm, has tapped Peter Ban as senior vice president of business operations.
SUMMIT BROADBAND
Orlando, Fla.-based video, voice and Internet provider Summit Broadband has tapped Mark Lipford as chief operating officer. The 33-year industry veteran has worked at such companies as Comcast, Cablevision Systems and Cox Communications.

Washington, D.C., based law firm Wiley Rein LLP has added former Federal Communications Commission member Robert McDowell as a partner in its communications practice. McDowell served as a Republican commissioner from 2006 to 2013.
