Cablevision Systems has tapped Kevin Packingham as executive vice president, product management. He comes from Samsung Telecommunications America, where he was chief product officer.


CNN has named Mark Preston executive editor of CNN Politics. He will continue to serve as a political reporter for the network.


Aditya Chatterjee has joined Los Angeles-based Global Eagle Entertainment as chief technology officer and senior vice president, engineering. He comes from Spacenet, where he was CTO and VP, engineering.


Sarah Kuban was upped to director, original programming and development at HGTV and DIY Network. She had been a manager on the DIY programming team.


Nellie Ryan advanced to vice president, marketing — strategy at Investigaton Discovery. She had been senior director, marketing, for the channel.

Also, Garnsey Sloan was promoted to vice president, marketing — creative at ID. She had been senior creative director of marketing.


Stacey Slaughter has been tapped as CEO of Centennial, Colo.-based Jones/NCTI. The 18-year veteran had been chief financial officer and acting CEO and will retain CFO duties.

Also, Wayne Applehans was named president and chief product officer at Jones/NCTI. He had been director, integrated digital marketing and channel sales development at BlueModus.

Finally, Glenn R. Jones was tapped as executive chairman of the company.


Maureen Reidy has been namd president and CEO of the Paley Center for Media. She had been chief marketing officer and acting chief operating officer at the New York and Beverly Hills, Calif.-based organization.

Former president and CEO Pat Mitchell was named executive vice chairman of the Paley Center.


Jiou-Pahn Lee has joined Riedel Communications as director of research and developmnent. He comes from Clear-Com, where he was VP of engineering and technical director.


Jeremy Legg was named head of technology strategy and product monetization at Turner Broadcasting System. He had been senior vice president, business development and multiplatform distribution for Turner.


Mark Preston had formerly served as a senior staff writer for the Washington, D.C.- based political newspaper Roll Call.


Maureen Reidy served as New York City’s chief marketing officer during the administration of Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
