Oprah Winfrey Interview With Lindsay Lohan Draws Modest Ratings

Oprah Winfrey's interview with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan Sunday night was a modest rating success for OWN.

The Aug. 18 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter averaged 892,000 viewers, the second-biggest Sunday night telecast of Winfrey's interview series since a December 2012 interview with Usher generated 1.5 million viewers, according to network officials.

Winfrey other highly rated interviews include a March 2012 interview with the late Whitney Houston’s family which generated 3.5 million viewers, and a January 2013 interview with disgraced cycler Lance Armstrong which drew 3.2 million viewers.

Overall 1.8 million people combined tuned into the episode premiere and an encore airing on Sunday, said network officials.
