Nielsen Media Research projected Tuesday that the total number of television
households as of Jan. 1 will be 105.5 million. That will be its new TV-universe
figure for the 2001-2002 TV season.
Each national rating point, representing 1 percent of the total universe,
will now equal 1.055 million TV households, the ratings firm added.
