Nielsen Names Dandridge Chief Communications Officer

Nielsen Monday named ABC veteran Ed Dandridge its senior vice president and chief communications officer, effective immediately.

As Nielsen’s senior communications executive, Dandridge will be responsible for managing communications between Nielsen and its key audiences and stakeholders inside and outside the company. He will oversee the company’s external and internal communications functions worldwide, including corporate communications and media relations.

For the past eight years, Dandridge was a partner in a strategic consulting firm which he founded. In that role, Dandridge advised a diverse range of corporate, non-profit and political clients, both domestically and internationally.

Previously, Dandridge served as vice president of network communications for the ABC Television Network, where he was the network’s senior communications executive. Prior to ABC, he spent nearly eight years at the Sawyer/Miller Group, an international political consulting firm where he managed public affairs initiatives, corporate repositionings and crisis campaigns for corporations, governments and mission-driven institutions.

A graduate of Tufts University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, Dandridge began his career practicing law in New York City.
