Nickelodeon has launched a new pop culture online "dashboard" for kids, upickdaily.com, which is an online home base for kids who want to share, vote upon, poll and post about what issues young people are buzzing about at school or on the playground.
Web site users can be their own content providers, programming directors or news aggregators about their favorites in TV, film, music, gaming, celebrities and other topics.
Kid-friendly videos and photos will be pulled from the Web and matched to posts by topic. Kids can tag, share, blog, vote or "pick" a particular piece of content and UPickDaily will surface the hottest picks on a continuous basis, either in the "featured" section or in the "U Top 5."
Nick officials said all content will be moderated continuously to keep the site a fun but safe environment for kids.
