Newsy Joins Layer3 TV Lineup
Layer3 TV said it has added Newsy to its linear lineup.
Newsy Live, a news channel tailored for millennial audiences, is appearing on Layer3 TV channel 147, and includes Newsy’s new live, two-hour nightly show, The Why.

Layer3 TV is available in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas/Fort Worth and Longmont, Colo., and has New York City on deck.
Newsy, acquired by The E.W. Scripps Company in 2013, has been complementing its OTT offering with linear-style carriage with MVPDs such as Cincinnati Bell, as well as distribution on virtual MVPDs such as Sling TV, Pluto TV and a new TV streaming service from CenturyLink.
“Launching ‘Newsy Live’ on Layer3 TV allows us to introduce a growing number of consumers to the Newsy approach to news programming,” said Blake Sabatinelli, general manager for Newsy, in a statement. “As television viewing continues to evolve, Newsy will give Layer3 TV a news network created by millennials, for millennials.”
