Neutron Sets Nick Premiere Ratings Mark
Jimmy Neutron's small-screen coming-out party Friday was the best in
Nickelodeon's 23-year history.
The TV debut of Jimmy Neutron -- which debuted on the big screen last
fall in a Nickelodeon Movies/Paramount Pictures feature film, Jimmy Neutron:
Boy Genius -- produced a 9.33 rating/33 share among kids two through 11
Sept.6 at 8:30 p.m.
That translated into some 2.9 million viewers of those ages and a 37 percent
ratings rise over the time slot the prior year, according to Nielsen Media
Research data furnished by the network.
Neutron's premiere was 8 percent higher than the 8.6 rating among that
demo drawn by ChalkZone this past March.
The program, which scored a 3.0 household rating average, delivered 4.3
million total viewers, also beating ChalkZone's previous debut record of
4 million by 6 percent, according to Nick officials.
