Netflix Renews ‘Between’

Netflix has renewed its drama series Between for a second season.

Series star Jeannette McCurdy confirmed on Twitter the renewal of the series, which follows the lives of a town of young people after a mysterious virus kills everyone over 21 years old.

“The quarantine is not yet over...Season 2 of #Between confirmed for 2016,” McCurdy wrote Wednesday on the social media service.

The series, a co-production between Netflix and Canada’s City and shomi, air on a week-to-week basis on Netflix rather than the OTT service’s strategy of airing all season episodes for its original shows like Orange Is The New Black at the same time.
