NCC Sets 'Road Show,' New Hires
National Cable Communicationsopens its first "spot-cable road show"
in several years Tuesday in Atlanta.
Six other markets will be on the itinerary through early June, when it
concludes in New York.
Executive vice president Andrew Ward said Friday that 2,000 agency and client
executives are expected to attend the upfront-style "Reshaping Spot Advertising"
presentations, with Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Detroit the
other markets to be visited.
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, NCChas hired two sales managers away from
KABC-TV, Los Angeles, to become directors of sales, effective in May: Melissa
Dlin and Bill McGuire.
Those hirings are the latest in a series of defections to cable from TV
stations in that DMA.
