National Show Sessions Set

The National Cable & Telecommunications Association finalized its
general-session lineup for its 2003 National Show Friday morning, with sessions
devoted to new trends in cable programming and broadband services.

The National Show's programming general session June 10 from Chicago will
have a quartet of programmer chiefs and an operator CEO on hand:

  • ESPN/ABC Sports' George Bodenheimer
  • Discovery Communications Inc.'s John Hendricks
  • Mark Cuban from HDNet
  • Joshua Sapan from Rainbow Media Group and
  • Insight Communications Co. Inc.'s Michael Willner.

A keynote speech from Federal Communications Commission chairman Michael
Powell will precede the session. The panel's moderator will be named later.

A broadband session will open the show June 8 featuring AOL Broadband chief
Lisa Hook, Cox Communications Inc. executive Patrick Esser, Steve Wadsworth from
Walt Disney Internet Group, Rogers Cable Inc. officer Dean McDonald and Douglas
Shapiro from Bank of America Securities LLC.

Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing president Char

Earlier, the NCTA announced its June 9 and 11 general-session agendas, with
Microsoft Corp. chairman Bill Gates and Comcast Corp. CEO Brian Roberts among
the June 9 participants and six MSO CEOs meeting June 11.

All four sessions will be carried live by HDNet, transmitting in
high-definition-TV format.

The show runs June 8 through 11.
