MuchMusic USA will team up with independent record company Tommy Boy Music to
develop a new, half-hour series combining hip-hop and B-level kung-fu
movies.
The 10-episode series, Kung Faux, will fuse old and relatively unknown
martial-arts films with new music and comedy voiceovers, both companies
said.
The series, produced by the new Tommy Boy Films, is the first in what
MuchMusic USA president Mark Juris hopes will be a number of co-production
ventures between the two entities.
