MTV's Daria Concludes with Flick

Five seasons are enough for MTV: Music Television's popular animated
skein,
Daria.

The series, which chronicled the tribulations and triumphs of disenchanted
high-schooler Daria Morgendorffer, will conclude after five years with a
90-minute film, Daria: Is It College Yet?

The movie will bow commercial-free Jan. 21 at 8 p.m., with the flick's
intermission showcasing the world premiere of Garbage's new music video,
'Breaking Up the Girl.'

All told, Daria, a spinoff character from former pop-culture cynosure
Beavis and Butt-head, spawned 65 episodes and an earlier film, Daria:
Is It Fall Yet?
, which bowed last year.

MTV will salute the popular character during the weeks leading up to the
movie finale via 'Daria's Deadpanoram' -- back-to-back episodes from the show's
five seasons.

Jan. 14 at 5 p.m., the network will present Daria: Look Back in
Annoyance
, a retrospective of highlights hosted by Daria and her best
friend, Jane.

Additionally, fans will get to look back with 'Mock the
Vote: Daria's Least Popular Episodes.' The marathon starts Jan 19 at midnight
and continues through 7 a.m. that day. Through MTV.com, fans will be able to cast their ballots
for favorite episodes and moments.
