MTV Cancels Tom Green Show

After a stellar start, MTV: Music Television has canceled late-night series
The Tom Green Show due to declining ratings.

The one-hour talk show, which featured the irreverent comedian, launched in
late June to strong ratings. After its first two weeks on the air, the nightly
show had helped to increase the network's core male 18-34 audience by 19% and
its male 12-18 audience by 128% over the same period last year.

But the show’s overall numbers declined sharply after that, leading to its
eventual cancellation this week, according to MTV officials.

The last airing of The Tom Green Show is scheduled for Sept. 27,
according to the network’s schedule.
