MSNBC Cancels Curtis & Kuby

published In a partial pullback from its new talk format, MSNBC canceled Curtis
& Kuby, which had run from noon to 2 p.m.
The show -- hosted by Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa and civil-rights
attorney Ron Kuby, who also host a morning-drive radio program in New York -- is
being replaced by the new Countdown 2002.
MSNBC anchor Chris Jansing will host Countdown from noon to 1 p.m.,
then regular news coverage will air from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
MSNBC hasn't decided what it'll run in the Countdown 2002 slot after
the Nov. 5 election, spokeswoman Paulette Song said.
