MSG Media Taps Ronanye To Run Networks

Industry veteran Dan Ronayne has been named executive vice president and general manager of MSG Networks.

Ronanyne, reporting to MSG Media president Michael Bair, is charged day-to-day oversight for all activities of MSG and MSG Plus, including programming, marketing and advertising sales for the two networks. Ronayne will work closely with all divisions of Madison Square Garden and Cablevision to leverage the networks' assets to build a broad promotional platform for the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Liberty, Madison Square Garden and its affiliated brands.

Prior to joining MSG Media, he was executive vice president and general manager of Rainbow Media's VOD networks where he was responsible for all operations including programming, advertising sales/sponsorship, marketing and new media. Ronayne, who has spent more than 20 years in sports TV, began his career with Rainbow Media in 1987 working at Prism in Philadelphia and later held a variety of executive positions at SportsChannel and Fox Sports Net.
