NEC topped the access-systems category, followed by ECI Telecom Ltd. Tut was first in headends, followed by SkyStream Networks Inc. Entone and Alcatel were Nos. 1 and 2 in servers, while Motorola and Kreatel Communications AB took the top two spots in set-tops. In middleware, Thomson/Thales took first, followed by Orca Interactive, and Widevine Technologies Inc. followed Viaccess in the TV-content-protection-systems category.
