mPhase Technologies Inc. unveiled a new software release that it said will help telcos to grow their IPTV networks.
The mPhase “TV+ System Release 5.0” IPTV-management system adds several key features, including the ability to manage multiple set-top boxes in a subscriber’s home, as well as multiple accounts associated with a subscriber. It also provides load-balancing and system-failure recovery features and offers foreign-language support for Russian, Arabic and Chinese.
"We are applying lessons learned in nearly a decade of pioneering development work in delivering video over traditional telecommunications networks," mPhase CEO Ronald Durando said. "We believe the current and planned enhancements to the mPhase TV+ IPTV System are coming to market just at the time when scale and complexity require a pre-integrated and tested offer with an open platform like ours."
