Hamid Ahmadi has joined Motorola Inc. as corporate vice president, technology.
Ahmadi had been VP and chief technology officer for the global-communications sector at IBM Corp.
In his new role as Motorola’s first chief architect, he will “develop a unified architectural framework to support Motorola's seamless mobility vision and lead strategic hardware and software architecture planning across all Motorola businesses and [research and development],” the vendor said in a prepared statement.
