Motorola Gives Grant To SCTE Foundation
The SCTE Foundation, established by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers to provide grants and scholarships for professional development, announced that it has received a $50,000 grant from Motorola.
The SCTE Foundation, which began issuing grants in 2006, has distributed nearly 60 grants totaling more than $96,000 to date. SCTE members have used their grants toward SCTE Virtual Classroom online courses, Jones/NCTI courses, college degrees in business management and telecommunications engineering technology, and attendance at industry events like SCTE's Cable-Tec Expo.
