More Shuffling Atop Vidéotron

Vidéotron Telecom Ltd. president and CEO Eugene Marquis announced his
resignation Wednesday.

Marquis had held those posts since February 2001, several months after the
takeover of Le Groupe Vidéotron Ltée, the former majority shareholder in
Vidéotron Telecom, by Quebecor Inc.

"We are saddened that Eugene is leaving us," Quebecor president and CEO
Pierre Karl Peladeau said in a prepared statement.

"His determination and vision turned the company around in short order,
saving Vidéotron Telecom from the sad fate of many other industry players, the
majority of which have gone bankrupt in the past few years," he added.

On Monday, MSO Vidéotron Ltée promoted senior vice president of sales,
marketing and customer services Robert Depatie to the post of president and CEO,
succeeding Peladeau, who had been holding the post of interim
CEO.
