Mexican Network Video Rola Inks MobiTV Renewal

Mexican programmer Video Rola has renewed its carriage pact with MobiTV.


The service provides regional Mexican music videos, interviews and lifestyle to mobile subscribers in the U.S. and Mexico via AT&T MobiTV en Espanol, Sprint TV en Vivo and AllTel TV en Espansol.


“We are very happy to continue our partnership with MobiTV,” said Jorge Tanaka, Video Rola’s head of international business, in a statement. “Video Rola fans can continue getting our music TV channel on their cell phones through Sprint, AT&T and other carriers in the U.S.”

Added MobiTV chairman and CEO Charlie Nooney: “MobiTV is committed to delivering a dynamic range of content to users, and we’re pleased to continue our relationship with Video Rola.”

As a network, Video Rola is available in over 600 cities in Mexico, Guatemala and the U.S. It counts some 1.1 million pay subscribers in the U.S. via deals with Cox, Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Charter, according to network officials.
