Merger Spawns Foundation

New York -- AOL Time Warner Inc. said Friday that literacy and access to
technology would be among the first priorities of the newly created AOL Time
Warner Foundation.

AOL Time Warner chairman Steve Case will act as chairman of the foundation,
with senior vice president Kathy Buskin serving as the foundation's
president.

According to a press release, the foundation's mission is to use the power of
media, communications and information technology to serve the public interest
and strengthen society.

'Acting with integrity, contributing to the common good and operating in the
public interest [are] the essence of corporate citizenship in the
21st century,' AOL Time Warner CEO Jerry Levin said in a press
release.
