Mediacom System Sold to Local Phone Co.

The City Council of Cascade, Iowa, decided to turn its current Mediacom Communications Corp. cable system over to Cascade Telephone Co., AP reported.

The city had the option of buying the system but opted against doing so.

Cascade Telephone will pay Mediacom $771,000 for the system.
