Media DVX Doubles Distribution

StarNet LP's Media DVX division said it has expanded its
digital-video-distribution network to more than 600 broadcast-television
stations and cable systems nationally, up from 300 last year.

With more than 80 percent of ad agencies now using such satellite
distribution of commercials and other content, Media DVX president Elliott Reed
said his firm is aiming to increase the number of receive sites to 1,000 by
year's end.

A Media DVX spokesman said Friday that its growth in the past year has been
coming primarily from TV stations within the top 100 markets, although it plans
to step up its cable efforts.

StarNet is part of The Lenfest Group, owners of which include cable pioneer
Gerry Lenfest.
