Mark Lieberman Appointed To CAB’s Board

Mark Lieberman, the ad exec who was named president and CEO of Viamedia in January, has been appointed to the board of the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau.

“It is an honor to be appointed to the leadership board of CAB and to contribute to the unified voice of the cable advertising sales industry that advocates for more ad revenue, better ad processes and leveraging advanced technologies,” said Lieberman, in a statement. “Viamedia is excited to participate in critical decisions that can positively impact the television industry generally and the cable industry specifically.”

“Mark will play a vital role on the CAB board,” added CAB president and CEO Sean Cunningham. “His insight and expertise in the cable advertising and advanced technology arena will be an invaluable addition and I look forward to his guidance and input.”

CAB's member organizations include virtually all of the national and regional ad-supported cable networks; system operators and interconnects representing more than 90 percent of all U.S. cable subscribers; and suppliers to the cable advertising business.

Viamedia provides outsourced local advertising sales services, specializing in selling market-based advertising to local, regional and national advertisers on behalf of U.S. cable and telecommunications service providers, utility companies and municipalities.
