Gigabit Ethernet provider Manticom Networks Inc. and server company SeaChange
International Inc. announced the completion of interoperability testing using
Manticom's "Scorpion 4104" switch-and-transport solution.
Manticom is a relatively new player in the GigE space, boasting a product
line that can scale from 2.5 gigabits per second to 20 gbps.
GigE proponents said MSOs can save millions of dollars by using the
technology.
