Turner Classic Movies has gone for a host with great Hollywood
bloodlines.
Ben Mankiewicz -- who leads The Young Turks on Sirius Satellite Radio
Inc. and newsmagazine show The Times for WAMI-TV in Miami -- will become
the vintage-film network’s weekend daytime host in September.
Mankiewicz should know from whence he talks: He’s the grandson and
grandnephew of Herman and Joseph L. Mankiewicz, who, between them, wrote and
directed All About Eve, Guys and Dolls, The Pride of the
Yankees, Dinner at Eight and Cleopatra.
