M2B Gallops Into IPTV Market with Box, Service

Amaru Inc. and its M2B World Inc. subsidiary are ponying up to the IPTV market, launching a new service and set-top box sometime this summer.

The M2B TV on-demand-entertainment service will launch with more than 40 channels of entertainment that will appeal to audiences worldwide, including a library of Hollywood films from as-yet-unnamed studios, as well as Asian films, classic TV shows from providers around the world, health, lifestyle, shopping and education programming, according to Hollywood-based M2B.

The content will be streamed via the new “PONY” set-top box. The size of a standard DVD player, the PONY will be offered free with an M2Btv monthly subscription. In addition to video, the box will be Internet-capable and will offer videoconferencing, video messaging and shopping features.
