J-Lo Flick Boosts TNT

Theatrical hit The Wedding Planner helped Turner Network Television to
secure the top seat in primetime-household ratings last week.

TNT ran the comedy, starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey, three
times during primetime last weekend.

The July 11 and 12 runs were tied for fifth among last week’s most-watched
shows, averaging a 3.1 household average, contributing to the network’s 2.3
primetime household-rating average July 7-13, according to an ABC Cable Networks
Group analysis of Nielsen Media Research data.

The drama network finished well ahead of runner-up Disney Channel’s 1.8
average. Lifetime Television and Nickelodeon were tied for third with a 1.7
average, while Cartoon Network was fifth with a 1.6.

adults 18-49 in primetime (1.16 million on average) and total day (614,000),
according to a Turner Entertainment Research analysis of Nielsen data.

In terms of total-day measures, Nickelodeon held its usual spot in first with
a 1.5 household average. Cartoon and Disney were second with averages of 1.3,
ahead of TNT and Lifetime, with averages of 1.2.

Spike TV held the first and second spots for the week among households with
its July 7 presentation of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.’s WWE Raw,
with the 10 p.m.-11 p.m. hour pinning a 4.5.

TNT’s Law & Order and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants
made their presence known among the top 10, with ratings bests of 3.0 and 3.1,
