INSP Gains Comcast Subs

INSP said it gained more than 1.3 million new Comcast subscribers in the cable company’s West Division, including California (San Francisco, Fresno, San Jose, and Sacramento); Washington (Seattle) and Minnesota (the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul).

The launches came on May 7, the programmer said. Comcast West Division subscribers can now find INSP on channel 223 in California, channel 230 in Washington and channel 162 in the Twin Cities area, it said.

The latest Nielsen figures (June 2014) show the Inspiration Networks outlet in about 58 million homes. It has suffered a net loss of 19.1 million subscribers since January, per Nielsen, due to coming off DirecTV in March, after apparently declining to continue paying for carriage.
