Second season of network’s breakout hit “The Uprising” debuts October 17th.

Indian Land, SC – INSP – The Inspiration Network today announced that it will launch the second season of its hit reality TV series “The Uprising” on Saturday, October 17th at 11:30pm EST. The series is produced by Steelroots, one of the leading providers of positive content for young people and one of the few media-based ministries focusing on action sports.

“The Uprising” features professional skateboarders Jay Haizlip, Christian Hosoi, and Brian Sumner. The trio takes viewers along as they interact and share their faith with fans, fellow competitors, and everyday people across the country while skateboarding in a variety of venues including skate parks and backyard pools.

Bill Airy, Chief Operating Officer for The Inspiration Networks, said that the response to the series’ first season was overwhelming. “We are very excited to announce the second season for ‘The Uprising,’” said Airy. “The response to this series has been amazing among viewers of all ages and all levels of faith. There also is increasing interest from the action sports community. Our viewers will be pleased with the new shows because they continue to tackle so many of the problems facing young people today with compassion and faith as the foundation. ‘The Uprising’ is reality TV at its best.”

As with the first season, “The Uprising” will continue to have a strong online presence. “Multimedia integration played a large role during the first season and this will continue,” said Airy. “Episodes from ‘The Uprising’ are available online 24/7 at www.steelroots.com, along with behind-the-scenes clips that will not be available on the broadcast version of the program. There also will be give-a-ways and interviews with the hosts, along with social media integration that allows the producers to interact with viewers about the series in real time.”

“The Uprising” joins other original programs from Steelroots that include “Countdown,” “The Steelroots Show,” and specials featuring popular athletes and music artists. For more information visit www.steelroots.com.
