Hoping to cash in on their growing complexity, Internet Cable Corp. has
formed a new division to help cable operators design analog and digital headend
systems.
The new ICC Systems Engineering division will be headed by Derek Aitken, vice
president, operations, and Collin McIntyre, director.
ICC's new division will offer implementation planning, headend design,
transport-system design, layout, engineering, logistical support,
proof-of-performance testing, certification, documentation and training.
ICC is eyeing a market where operators are installing video-on-demand and
interactive TV on the video side, along with tiered data services and telephony
on the Internet-protocol side.
