CNN International said late Thursday that it will lay off some of its Hong Kong production staff as part of a reorganization.
Cable News Network spokeswoman Carol Turner told Dow Jones, "The layoffs won't run into the double-digits. We're not cutting back on our programming and newsgathering, but the production side will be done from our London office and our Atlanta headquarters."
Other published reports said nine of the company’s Hong Kong staff of 50 were let go Thursday.
