executive Ellie Hirschhorn has been named executive vice president and general
manager of MusicNet (http://www.musicnet.com/), the online
subscription music service owned by Warner Bros. Music, The EMI Group,
Bertelsmann AG and RealNetworks Inc.
She'll report to another MTV alum, Alan McGlade, who is CEO of MusicNet.
Hirschhorn will be responsible for overseeing distribution, business
development, content acquisitions, programming, public relations and marketing.
She'll also supervise product management, overseeing research and
development.
She had been senior VP and GM of MTV.com.
