HBO Promotes Programming Exec Strauss

Continuing to tweak its programming division, Home Box Office Thursday
announced the promotion of veteran programming executive Carolyn Strauss to
executive vice president of original programming.

Formerly senior vice president of original programming, Strauss will now
oversee miniseries along with the network's original series and specials, said
HBO representatives.

The announcement comes nearly a month after former HBO original programming
president Chris Albrecht was elevated to chairman and CEO of the pay service,
succeeding Jeff Bewkes who took over the newly created position of AOL Time
Warner Entertainment and Networks Group chairman.
