HBO Net with Most 'Early Adopters'

Knowledge Networks/SRI Tuesday announced data from a new study indicating
which cable and broadcast networks have the most viewers who are also 'early
adopters' of new technology.

According to its latest report, cable households that regularly watch Home
Box Office have the highest index of owning such home technology as digital
cable, home computers and DVD players.

HBO was followed by Showtime, UPN, MTV: Music Television and The WB
Television Network. Rounding out the top ten: VH1, Disney Channel, Cartoon
Network, The Learning Channel and Nickelodeon.

The report, covering 31 networks and 30 media devices and services,
consolidated data from the research firm's spring-2002 ownership survey ('Home
Technology Monitor,' based on interviews with nearly 1,500 households) and its
'How People Use' studies.
