Hallmark Channel will offer up a sneak peek of its soon-to-bow "Happy Friday"
programming franchise on Memorial Day.
From 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (EST/PST), Hallmark will hail The Walt Disney Co. fare
with such films as Flight of the Navigator, Homeward Bound: The
Incredible Journey and The Big Green.
Happy Friday -- which will feature a Disney double feature, interactive
wraparounds and fun graphics -- will begin in earnest May 30 from 7 p.m. to 11
p.m. with The World's Greatest Athlete and The Computer Wore Tennis
Shoes.
"Hallmark Channel is about celebration," executive vice president of
programming David Kenin said. "There isn't a better night of the week in the
minds of most people than Friday night and, with the great new look, Disney
double features in primetime and interactive wraparounds, the best night of the
week just got better."
