Gotuit Media Corp. and Universal Music Group said Tuesday that they will test bringing cable subscribers music videos on-demand.
Using Gotuit’s video-on-demand technology, cable operators will be able to offer digital subscribers instant access to hundreds of music videos, the two companies said.
An unnamed MSO is currently testing the service, called “Gotuit Music OnDemand.”
“By partnering with Gotuit Media, we have developed an exciting new platform that will allow UMG to introduce its new artists and reinforce its existing brands in a personalized, on-demand environment,” UMG eLabs vice president of business development Scott Hochgesang said in a prepared statement.
