Universal Music Group’s library of music videos will be available through Gotuit Media Corp.’s Gotuit Music On Demand service following a multiyear, nonexclusive expansion of the agreement between the two companies.
Cable operators affiliated with Gotuit will be able to offer their video-on-demand subscribers instant access to, and personal choice and control of, videos from many of the most popular recording artists in the business.
Gotuit offers music videos arranged in various genre, label and artist music blocks running approximately two hours in length, letting subscribers personalize their music-video-viewing experience.
“With Gotuit Music On Demand, we have created the world's greatest video jukebox and a platform for UMG and other music labels to reach more fans and expose new artists,” Gotuit president Mark Pascarella said in a prepared statement.
UMG eLabs president Larry Kenswil added, “Music fans have a growing appetite to enjoy their favorite recording artists in an environment that puts them in the driver's seat, giving them complete control over what they watch, when they watch and how they watch.”
