GolTV to Premiere Milan Channel

Beginning Jan. 17, GolTV subscribers in the U.S. will be able to watch a weekly show featuring AC Milan, one of Europe’s most recognized soccer properties.

Milan Channel comes on the heels of GolTV’s recent announcement that it acquired the rights to the Italian Cup (for the 2007/2008, 2008/ 2009 and 2009/ 2010 seasons), and solidifies the presence of the sport on the cable channel.

“This agreement allows us to utilize GolTV's reach to increase AC Milan's fan base and bring U.S. viewers some of the most artful and skillful plays ever seen,” VP of Milan Channel Carlo Pozzali said.

The three-hour show will run on the bilingual soccer network every Thursday at 8 p.m. (ET) and it features a half-hour magazine special offering coverage with exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peeks and one-on-one in-depth interviews with some of the top legends in the sport.

GolTV this year reached an agreement with The Nielsen Co. to report ratings in Nielsen's Hispanic cable service, becoming one of four fully rated Spanish-language cable networks accessible to national clients.
