Fuse goes Latino later this month, bowing a weekly half-hour show
spotlighting Latin rock.
Marcha! will premiere May 19 at 9 p.m., coinciding with the official
on-air launch of the network previously known as MuchMusic USA.
Marcha! will feature music from the best alternative bands in South and
Central America, Spain, Puerto Rico and the United States. The series will
feature videos from today's most popular Latin artists, including Grammy winners
and nominees Bacilos, Juanes, Kinky, Jorge Moreno and Nicole, among others.
"Shakira and Ricky Martin are just the tip of the Latin wave. Latinos are the
fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population, a group that continues to bring
an incredible wealth of cultural flavors and sounds to the American melting
pot," Fuse president Marc Juris said in a prepared statement.
"Marcha! is the latest example of how Fuse keeps music the true
priority for our viewers," he added. "We're proud that our network is the first
to provide vital early exposure for the Latin alternative-rock
