In a broad-based deal, Action sports network Fuel will be the title sponsor of Tony Hawk’s “Boom Boom Huckjam Tour” that will make stops in 25 cities this summer.
Skateboarding legend Hawk heads the arena-based show melding leaders in the worlds of skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motorcross who must navigate a $1 million ramp system, including a massive half-pipe, a 30-foot drop-in and the “loop of death.”
Tour attendees will be able to sample Fuel on TV monitors located on-site at BBHJ Street Corner Village area.
Hawk and Fuel will produce a behind-the-scenes series tentatively titled On the Road With Tony Hawk that will air on the network in the fourth quarter. Tour updates will screen on Fuel’s 54321 weekly update program.
Moreover, Fuel will also produce a half-hour tour preview show that will run on FSN owned and affiliated regional sports networks prior to the tour’s arrival in key markets
The tour will also get a promotional boost via a preview special, featuring event footage and interviews with the athletes, as part of Fox’s NFL Super Bowl pregame show at noon (ET) on Feb. 6.
