Fox News Channel sued Hearst-Argyle Stations Inc.'s WMUR-TV in Manchester,
N.H., accusing the company of breaking an agreement to cover New Hampshire's
2004 presidential primary, according to AP.
Fox claimed that a deal it signed with Imes Communications two months before
it sold the station to Hearst gives it exclusive broadcast, cable and Internet
rights to WMUR's coverage of the first primary in the 2004 presidential
race.
