Verizon Communications' FiOS TV has added five
Spanish-language networks to its La Conexion and Spanish-language packages.
Canal 22 Internacional, Once TV, AyM Sports, Ecuavisa
Internacional and Telemicro Internacional are all offered by Alterna TV, a
division of Mexico's satellite service provider SatMex.
The deal, effective Dec. 5, adds entertainment, sports, news
and specials relevant to Mexican, Dominican and Ecuadorian emigres.
Pitched as the best mix of Spanish- and English-language
channels, Verizon's La Conexión offers more than 155 channels (18 in HD), and
includes popular networks like ESPN Deportes and Galavision.
