Verizon (opens in new tab) is expanding its retail presence in Massachusetts with the opening of its own FiOS branded store in Newton.
The store, at 224 Needham St., a busy shopping area, will demonstrate FiOS TV and Internet services, alongside other Verizon products and services.
The outlet is furnished with a family room setting where visitors can sample DVR features, FiOS video selections and Internet speeds. Current customers can swap boxes, pay bills or pick-up remote controls there, too.
The announcement of the Verizon-branded store comes after the telecommunications company announced it would sell services through a partnership with the Jordan's Furniture chain, beginning with the outlet in Reading, Mass.
FiOS Internet is now available in 90 Massachusetts communities. Video services from the company are available in 65 communities in the state.
