Washington -- The Federal Communications Commission must not be too alarmed
about the opposition to the digital plug-and-play agreement between major cable
MSOs and the consumer electronics industry.
An FCC source said Monday that chairman Michael Powell is planning to approve
the agreement at the FCC's Sept. 10 meeting, but the source cautioned that a
last-minute change is always possible.
