ABC Family said its '25 Days of Christmas' affiliate sweepstakes promotion
has generated some $4.2 million in local ad sales for 300 cable operators
linking up with the network's 250 hours of Yule programming Dec. 1 through
Network executives earlier this fall had projected that the 25 Days promotion
would top the $4 million mark.
Among affiliates' more than 500 clients: Applebee's International Inc.,
Baskin-Robbins Inc., Burger King Corp. and Subway Restaurants.
General Mills Inc. and RadioShack Corp. are sponsoring a national online
sweepstakes component with Air Jamaica, Black & Decker Corp., Eastman Kodak
Co. and RadioShack contributing prizes.
