By Todd Spangler published
ExtendMedia, which provides software and services for delivering digital video and other content, announced Friday that it received $12 million in venture-capital funding from TVM Capital and previous investors Atlas Venture and Venrock Associates.
ExtendMedia’s customers include Showtime Networks, Cablevision Systems, ClickStar, Hewlett-Packard and Bell Canada.
The funding -- which brings the Boston-based company to a total of $23 million raised -- will be used to “accelerate sales, marketing and product-development efforts,” ExtendMedia said. As part of the funding round, ExtendMedia appointed TVM general partner Edward Braginsky to its board of directors.
