Evolution Digital Names Former WOW Exec Hagen COO

Cash Hagen

Cash Hagen

Centennial, Co.-based vendor Evolution Digital has announced the hiring of former WideOpenWest executive Cash Hagen as chief operating officer.

Starting Oct. 1, Hagen will oversee Evolution Digital’s expansion of its IP-based video and broadband technology solutions for cable operators, reporting directly to CEO Chris Egan.

Hagen quietly departed as WOW’s COO in May, as the operator’s CEO, Teresa Elder continued to shake up upper management and build out her team. He had served as CTO for WOW from 2008-2016.

“Cash’s experience as a senior executive at a large broadband and pay-TV provider is invaluable to Evolution Digital in this next stage of transitioning operators to IP video delivery and continued acceleration of broadband growth,” said Egan, in a statement. “He has proven to be a successful and trusted leader with a strong reputation for driving growth, enhancing profitability and efficiency while delivering long-term value for cable and telecommunications providers. I have unwavering confidence in Cash’s ability to build on Evolution Digital’s many competitive advantages.”

It’s the latest top-level management move for Evolution Digital, which in August made two key promotions, naming VP of engineering Panneer Ramalingam its new chief technology officer, while incumbent CTO Brent Smith moved to the newly created role of chief strategy officer.
